On 14 October 2019, the Chancellor announced that the plans to announce Budget 2019 on 6 November 2019. However, the following 25 October 2019 the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sajid Javid, has written to the Treasury Select Committee confirming that the Budget will not be taking place on 6 November.
