On 19 May 2019, the Swiss voters approved the Corporate Tax Reform (Tax Proposal 17) with a majority of 66.4%. The reform contains, among other measures, the abolition of the arrangements for cantonal status companies. The bill is expected to come into force on 1 January 2020.
