According to a press release of 17 June 2022, published by the European Commission, the European Union and India formally resumed negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA) on the same day, in Geneva. The next round of negotiations is scheduled to take place from 27 June to 1 July 2022, in New Delhi. The parties aim to conclude the negotiations by the end of 2023.
