Six authorities, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security recently released the Overall Plan for Optimizing the System of Employment Security Funds for the Disabled and Promoting the Employment of Disabled People.
According to the plan, if the proportion of disabled workers at an employer is 1% or higher but still less than the percentage set by the provincial or municipal government, the employer shall pay 50% of the employment security funds in the next three years it's supposed to pay; if the proportion of disabled workers is less than 1%, it should pay 90% of the funds in the next three years; if an employer has a total workforce of 30 or below, it will not have to pay the employment security funds for the disabled.
